The Department recognizes and appreciates the vital role accredited and approved adoption service providers play in the intercountry adoption process. On July 15, 2025, the Intercountry Adoption Accreditation and Maintenance Entity (IAAME) renewed the accreditation of Saint Mary International Adoption to provide adoption services for intercountry adoptions. Saint Mary International Adoption’s accreditation is valid through July 15, 2029.

Accreditation, approval, monitoring, and oversight of U.S. adoption service providers are handled by the relevant designated accrediting entity, Intercountry Adoption Accreditation and Maintenance Entity (IAAME) or Center for Excellence in Adoption Services (CEAS), responsible for providers with primary offices.
