The U.S. Embassy in Caracas, Venezuela has suspended routine visa services due to the ordered departure of non-emergency personnel. Nonimmigrant visa applications may be submitted at an Embassy or Consulate outside of Venezuela. The U.S. Embassy in Bogota, Colombia has been designated as the primary site to process immigrant visas for residents of Venezuela. April 2019 marks the first month the National Visa Center will began scheduling Venezuelan immigrant visa interviews at U.S. Embassy Bogota, Colombia. NVC will send appointment notices for all future visa interviews at U.S. Embassy Bogota.
Once your documentation on your case is complete, NVC will work with the U.S. Embassy in Bogota to schedule an immigrant visa appointment. When scheduling appointments, we cannot predict when an interview appointment will be available; NVC fills these appointments in a first-in, first-out manner. If you have not yet received a NVC appointment notice, please do not contact U.S. Embassy Caracas or U.S. Embassy Bogota as they do not yet have your case. Please contact NVC through the Ask NVC online contact form for your updated status.
